ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Separate and sealed bids will be received by The Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at the Authority's Distribution Center located at 2428 Rochester Road, Sewickley, PA 15143, until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, and at which time and place, they will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter for the following Projects: CONTRACT NUMBER 14-1: GENERAL/MECHANICAL BEAVER COUNTY WATER TREATMENT PLANT CONTRACT NUMBER 14-2: GENERAL/MECHANICAL BADEN RAW WATER INTAKE FACILITY CONTRACT NUMBER 14-3: PLUMBING/FIRE PROTECTION BEAVER COUNTY WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND BADEN RAW WATER INTAKE FACILITY CONTRACT NUMBER 14-4: HVAC BEAVER COUNTY WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND BADEN RAW WATER INTAKE FACILITY CONTRACT NUMBER 14-5: ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION BEAVER COUNTY WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND BADEN RAW WATER INTAKE FACILITY CONTRACT NUMBER 14-6: RAW WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN AND WATER TREATMENT PLANT DRAIN LINE CONTRACT NUMBER 14-7: FINISHED WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN Sets of Contract Documents for Contracts Numbered 14-1 thru 14-5 (all in one set) and Contracts Numbered 14-6 and 14-7 (all in one set) may be obtained from Printscape, 760 Vista Drive, Building #7, Pittsburgh, PA 15205; phone: 412-788-0641. Contracts Numbered 14-1 thru 14-5 Nonrefundable Plan Fee for the CD will be $240.00 and Nonrefundable Plan Fee for the printed set and CD will be $545.00. Contracts Numbered 14-6 and 14-7 Nonrefundable Plan Fee for the CD will be $75.00 and Nonrefundable Plan Fee for the printed set and CD will be $170.00. Fee is made payable to Printscape. Shipping is not included in the Plan Fee. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order or Bidder's bond in favor of The Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View in the amount of not less than ten percent of the amount of the Bid. These Contracts are subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 as amended and Bids shall be prepared accordingly. Workers must be paid not less than the prevailing minimum wages as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, as shown in the applicable Prevailing Minimum Wage Schedule presented in the Project Manual. A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for Contracts Numbered 14-1 thru 14-5 and at 2:00 p.m. for Contracts Numbered 14-6 and 14-7 at the Baden Municipal Building, 149 State Street, Baden, PA 15005. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory. The Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View hereby reserves the right, at its option, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids and also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work in any or all Bids. These Contracts, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder(s). The Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View reserves the right to award Contract(s) to Bidder(s) who, in its sole judgment, is(are) qualified to perform the work, and to require submittal of qualifications and experience information demonstrating Bidder(s) qualifications. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds, the award of a grant or grants or the issuing of Permits.
