NOTICE TO BIDDERS MUNICIPALITY OF MT. LEBANON ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by the Mt. Lebanon Commission at the Municipal Building, 710 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228 until 11:00 a.m. prevailing time on Monday, August 31, 2015 for the following: MUNICIPALITY OF MT. LEBANON: LINDENDALE DRIVE STREAM BANK STABILIZATION Scope of work shall include removal of existing site features, protection of existing site features, removal and replacement of existing guide rail, installation of erosion and sedimentation control devices, installation of a Redi Rock retaining wall (or approved equal), installation of storm piping and manhole, stream bypass, topsoil placement, permanent seeding and any and all items necessary or a complete-in-place installation. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked on the outside with the appropriate wording "MUNICIPALITY OF MT. LEBANON: LINDENDALE DRIVE STREAM BANK STABILIZATION" to the desk of Steve Feller, Municipal Building, 710 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228 before 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, Monday, August 31, 2015 delivered to the 1st Floor Service Center, and the same will be publicly opened and read at that time at the Municipal Building Commission Chambers located at 710 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Prevailing wage rates will be required on the project. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at The Gateway Engineers, Inc.; 400 Holiday Drive, Suite 300; Pittsburgh PA 15220 where sets of said documents may be obtained at a cost of $50.00. Documents will be available beginning on Monday, August 17, 2015. An additional charge of $10.00 is required for any specifications which are mailed to proposed bidders. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Municipality of Mt. Lebanon in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Commission of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all bids. If more time is necessary for the ascertainment of the lowest responsible bidder, the Commission of Mt. Lebanon reserves the right to award the contract at a later date, but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date bids were submitted, and such date will be publicly announced immediately after the bids are opened.
