O F F I C I A L BOROUGH OF PORT VUE A D V E R T I S E M E N T F O R B I D S Notice is hereby given that separate and sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Port Vue, Allegheny County, PA for the following project: 2016 BITUMINOUS ASPHALT PAVING Copies of Information for Bidders, Contract, Form of Proposal and Bid Forms, Plans and Specifications may be examined or obtained for bidding purposes from the GLENN ENGINEERING & ASSOCIATES, 14920 Route 30; North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Copies of the above documents for use of the bidders may be obtained with a check or money order deposit made payable to Glenn Engineering & Associates, Ltd. in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each project, Non-refundable. Requests for mailing will be honored with an additional fee of Seven Dollars ($7.00) for postage and handling. NO documents will be issued within 48 hours of the scheduled bid opening. Separate and sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Port Vue daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday, until the date of the scheduled bid opening at the Secretary's Office, Borough of Port Vue, 1191 Romine Avenue, Port Vue, PA 15133. The scheduled bid opening is Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM prevailing time. All proposals must be clearly marked with the name of the project as it appears above. This contract shall be subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended 43 P.S. section 165 et. Seq. Workers shall not be paid less than the prevailing minimum wages as set forth in applicable schedule. All bidders must submit a bid bond in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, or other form of negotiable instrument which is guaranteed by a commercial bank, drawn to the order of Port Vue Borough in the sum of 10% of the total bid. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any form of a bid bond which, in the sole opinion of the borough, does not provide sufficient security for the bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any portion of any bid, waiver informality or irregularity of any bid or in the bidding and/or negotiate with the receipt of bids. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease any or all quantities. No bid will be accepted after the time herein specified whether or not the bidder has a time other than the official Borough time. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. MALISA MIGLIORI Borough Manager
